KOLD TV: Channel 13 Tucson came on the air in 1953 as Tucson's first TV station with the call letters KOPO-TV. Known as Lucky 13, they even selected 1:13:13 PM on the 13th of January to sign on the air. The Singing Cowboy, Gene Autry owned the station. The call letters were changed to KOLD-TV in 1957. The studios are located at 7831 North Business Park Drive in Tucson as seen in the photos from 2009 and 2011 as noted. We thank KOLD TV news reporter Courtney Carlmark for the tour. The on air screen grabs are from 2013.
