WOWK TV: Channel 13 Huntington started out in 1955 as WHTN-TV. In 1975 the call letters were changed to WOWK-TV. The studios are located at 555 5th Avenue in Huntington just down the block from WSAZ-TV. This is also the studio location for WRVC Radio 930 Huntington and W231BS 94.1 FM translator; WCMI Radio 1340 Ashland, Kentucky along with FM 93.3 "Cat Sports"; WDGG FM 93.7 "The Dawg" licensed to Ashland, Kentucky; WCMI FM 92.7 "Planet Rocks"; WXBW FM 101.5 "Big Buck Country" licensed to Gallipolis, Ohio; and WMGA FM 97.9 "The River" licensed to Kenova, West Virginia.
