KMBZ: 980 Radio Kansas City started out as WPE in 1922. In 1923 the calls were changed to KLDS reflecting ownership by the RLDS Church. In 1927 the calls were changed to KFIX, in 1928 to KMBC. Then in 1967 they became KMBZ. Studios are located at 7000 Squibb Road in Mission, Kansas as seen in the photos from 2016. Other stations at this location include KMBZ-FM 98.1, KCSP 610, KWOD 1660, KZPT FM 99.7 "The Point", KRBZ FM 96.5 "The Buzz", KQRC FM 98.9 "The Rock", and WDAF-FM 106.5 "The Wolf."
