WAOC: 1420 Radio Saint Augustine came on the air in 1954 as WSTN. In the 1960s the call letters were changed to WETH and then to WAOC in the 1970s. Studios, transmitter, and tower are located on Lewis Point Road Extension as seen in the photos from 2022. This is also the location for WFOY 1240 (see below).

WAPE: FM 95.1 Jacksonville along with WGNE FM Jacksonville tower located on Gator Bowl Boulevard as seen in the photo from 2022.

WBOB: 600 Radio Jacksonville started out as WPDQ in 1942. Calls were changed to WMBR in 1975, then WSNY in 1977. Then in 1980 the call letters became WAIV, followed in 1981 as WOKY. In 1994 the calls were back to WPDQ until 1996 when they were changed to WBWL. In 2010 the call letters were changed to WBOB. Their 5 tower transmitter site is located off Lenox Avenue. The towers can be seen from behind the Walmart Supercenter on Normandy Boulevard. The photos are from 2022.

WBSR: WBSR 1450 Radio started out in 1946 as Pensacola's 2nd radio station. Back in 1965 WBSR Radio Pensacola was a top 40 rock station. Their studios were at 1601 North Pace Boulevard as seen in the photo from 1965.

WCWJ TV: Channel 17 Jacksonville came on the air in 1966 as WJKS TV. In 1997 the calls were changed to WJWB and then to WCWJ in 2006. The screen grabs are from 2022.

WFOX TV: Channel 30 Jacksonville came on the air in 1981 as WAWS TV. In 2014 the calls were changed to WFOX TV. 30.1 is Fox, 30.2 is either MyNetwork TV or MeTV, 30.3 is Heros and Icons. The screen grabs are from 2022.

WFOY: Saint Augustine's first radio station, WFOY started out in 1937 on 1210, in 1941 they moved to 1240. Studios, transmitter, and tower are located on Lewis Point Road Extension as seen in the photos from 2022. This is also the location for WAOC 1420 (see above).

WFXJ: Jacksonville's oldest radio station started out as WJAX on 900 in 1925, they were moved to 930 in 1941. The call letters were changed to WNZS in 1991, and then to WJGR in 1994. In 2001 the calls were changed to WFXJ. The two towers are located on the Hyde Park Golf Club on Hyde Grove Avenue as seen in the photos from 2022. The last WFXJ photo is of me at the tower site.

WJAX TV: Channel 47 Jacksonville came on the air in 1980 as WXAO-TV. In 1983 calls were changed to WNFT and in 1996 to WTEV-TV. Then in 2014 the call letters were changed to WJAX-TV. Studios are located at 11700 Central Parkway as seen in the photos from 2022. This is also the location for WFOX-TV Fox30 (see above), WOKV 690, WOKV-FM 104.5 Atlantic Beach (see screen grab below from a TV spot for WOKV FM), WAPE FM 95.1, WEZI FM 102.9, WJGL FM 96.9, WXXJ FM 106.5 Ponte Vedre Beach, and translators W291CI 106.1 FM and W258CN 99.5 FM.

WJCT TV: Channel 7 WJCT TV Jacksonville came on the air in 1958. The photos and screen grabs from this PBS station are from 2022 .

WJNJ: 1320 Radio started in 1940 as WJHP as Jacksonville's third radio station. The station has seen numberous calls including WVOJ, WQIK, and in 1994 WJGR. In 2007 calls were changed to WBOB and in 2010 to WJNJ. Their former studios, transmitter, and towers were located on Ellis Road South. On May 15, 2022 that vacant building burned. The below photos are from about a month later.

WJXX TV: Channel 25 Orange Park started out in 1997. WJXX TV shares studios with Jacksonville's WTLV TV (see below) on East Adams Street. Photo and screen grabs are from 2022.

WNVY: 1230 Radio Pensacola started out in 1947 as WEAR on 1490, moving to 1230 a year later. In 1958 the call letters were changed to WNVY. John is pictured at the WNVY studios on North Pace Boulevard in 1965. WNVY had a top 40 music format at that time with studios in the Town and Country Plaza shopping center, In 1985 the call letters were changed to WBOP and then 1989 to WTKX. In 1995 the calls changed to WZNO and then in 2007 to WDWR. The photo of John at the WNVY studios is from the fall of 1965.

WPEX: 94.1 FM Pensacola was WPEX-FM in 1965. They are now WMEZ FM. The WPEX FM photo is from 1965.

WPFA: 790 Radio Pensacola started out in 1956. In 1990 the call letters were changed to WSWL and then in 2002 to WPNN. In 1965 WPFA Radio 790 had studios at 3801 North Pace Boulevard as seen in the photo. They are now WPNN and are still at this location.

WROS: This facility started out as WQIK on 1280 in 1955, then moved to 1050 a few years later. In 1976 the call letters were briefly changed to WCMG and back to WQIK in 1978. In 1981 the became WROS the Rose of Jacksonville. Studios, transmitter, and tower are located at 5590 Rio Grande Avenue, right at the end of that street. The photos are from 2022.

WSOS: 1170 Radio Saint Augustine Beach came on the air in 1986 as WAIA. In 1990 the calls were changed to WHWY and then to WKLN in 1992. In 2003 the call letters became WSOS. WSOS and WSOS-FM 103.9 studios, transmitters, and tower are located on Zygmont Street as seen in the photos from 2022.

WVOJ: 1570 Fernandia Beach came on the air in 1955 as WFBK. The call letters were changed to WHOG in 1981 and to WQAI in 1990. In 1998 they changed the calls to WYHI and then to WGSR in 1999. In 2004 the calls were changed to WNNR, but 13 days later they changed them to WVOJ. The WVOJ trnasmitter and tower are located on Dade Street as seen in the photo from 2022.

WYMM: 1530 Radio Jacksonville started out in 1987 as WJGR. The call letters were changed to WJGC in 1989 and then to WCRJ in 1992. In 1996 the call letters were changed to WOBS and then in 2003 to WYMM. Transmitter and tower is located on Pickettville Road as seen in the photo from 2022.
